| Monte Vista High School varsity defeated Heritage High, 63-37, on Friday night in the first round of the North Coast Section Division I football playoffs. The Mustangs will face Berkeley High in the quarterfinals at 7 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 28, in Berkeley.
San Ramon Valley High lost to Pittsburg High, 27-7.
De La Salle High School shut out American High, 44-0, and will face Foothill High at 7 p.m., Friday, Nov. 27, at De La Salle.
