Search and Rescue
The Contra Costa County Sheriff's Search and Rescue Team needs volunteer members to respond to missing person incidents, disasters and other critical incidents. Team members are on call 24/7 year round. The program provides required training including wilderness traveling, first aid, map and compass, tracking disaster response and search skills, and may additionally include special training for canine, equestrian, technical, mountain bike or other rescue skills. Sheriff Seeks Senior Volunteers
The Sheriff's Valley Station Office in Alamo is seeking people interested in assisting law enforcement in the community. Therapeutic Recreation and Special Olympic Bowling Program

Trails Maintenance
East Bay Trail Dogs is an all-volunteer group that has built, repaired and helped maintain single-track trails in the East Bay Regional Park District, the Mt. Youth Basketball Coaches are Needed
Volunteers 17 years and older are needed to coach divisions of boys and girls in grades K-10 with one practice per week and one game played between the hours of 8 a.m.-4 p.m. on Saturdays. Practice begins the week of Nov. 29 and games will begin during the second weekend in January. Fingerprinting and background checks will be required.
