Weekly visits Sioux Falls
Dear Editor:
On Nov. 11, you published a picture of myself, husband and friends on the Panama Canal. A friend who lives in Pismo Beach was visiting in Sioux Falls, S.D. She was at the airport, and saw the Danville Weekly. To her surprise there was the picture of the four of us. You never know where you will run into the Danville Weekly.

Tree needs to breathe
Dear Editor:
I'm concerned for the health and beauty and long life of the stately large old Oak Tree on Diablo Road near downtown Danville. I see the strong steel structure around the tree to protect automobiles from a falling branch, but the better way to keep this mighty Oak Tree from getting sick and losing a limb is to keep it healthy.
The asphalt roadway under the tree needs to be removed out to the drip line so it can breathe and get water. You can sponsor a fundraising event to raise enough money to replace the black-top with a breathable surface.
P.S. I can provide the live music.
Tim Rickey, Danville
